Press DOWNLOAD button for the ZIP archive and save the archive. |

Use an uncompressing tool to expand the downloaded archive. Four files, (unpk.exe, start.bat, 73VROSV4.bin, 73VR3100V4E.bin) are unzipped. |

Turn off the power supply to the 73VR3100 recorder/viewer unit ('Recorder'). If the Recorder is running, be sure to touch [STOP] button on the screen and cancel recording before turning off the power supply. |

Push the CF Card ('card') [Eject] button and remove the card. |

Make a backup-files on the hard disc of your PC and then delete them all from the card (73VR.VRD31, 73VR.VRP31, 73VR.VRA31, 73VR.VRC31, 73VR.VRM31). |

Copy unpk.exe, start.bat, 73VROSV4.bin and 73VR3100V4E.bin to the card. |
7. |
Insert the card to the card slot of the Recorder. |
8. |
Turn on the power supply to the Recorder. |

"Now Updating. Do not turn off the power or reset." message appears on the screen. While this message is shown, do not turn off power, reset the Recorder or eject the card. After another message "Update finished. Removing the card. Please turn off the power or reset." appears, turn off the power supply and eject the card. |

Turn the power supply OFF and push [Eject] button to remove the card from 73VR3100. |

Delete unpk.exe, start.bat, 73VROSV4.bin and 73VR3100V4E.bin from the card, and copy the files you stored separately in step 5 back to the card. |

Insert the card to the card slot of the Recorder and turn on the power supply. |
13. |
Confirm that the update is successfully completed checking the OS version (OS V1.00F) indicated after restarting. |

Confirm that the update is successfully completed checking the applications version (Version 4.00I) appearing on the top right of the configuration screen by touching [Menu]-[Config.] button. |

If the message “Update finished. Removing the card. Please turn off the power or reset.” does not appear on the screen in the step 9., proceed as follows:
Message “Can not find 73VR3100-V4 file on CF card. Please check version.” appears.->
The update program you run is Not applicable to the application version of your hardware. Check the application version and obtain the appropriate program.

Start up the Recorder and touch on [MENU]-[Config.] button. The application version number will be displayed on the top right of the screen.
No message appears for longer than 30 minutes.->
The update program may have encountered problems.
Touch [Close] button [X] at the right top of the screen to exit the "upnk.exe" and go back to the OS window.
Touch twice [My Device] icon at the left top and open [Storage Card] folder in it. Run the update program "upnk.exe" in the folder.
