RGP30WUpdater RGP30-W Firmware Updater updates the firmware of the remote GP
(model: RGP30-W).
Refer to the Users Manual for the changed content.

Preparations
• Mouse and keyboard to be connected to the RGP30-W
• Recording devices such as USB memory for transferring the updater to the RGP30-W
• RGP30W Users Manual (EM-8581-D)

How to confirm the firmware version of RGP30-W
Display the system log in order to confirm the RGP30-W version.
Refer to the Users Manual for detailed information.

How to update RGP30-W
Perform updating on Windows equipped with RGP30-W.
Losing the power supply of the RGP30-W or the PC while the updating is in progress may cause the RGP30-W malfunctioning, and it may become impossible to retrying the update process. Be sure to have a stable power supply.

<Update procedure>
1. Download and uncompress
Press DOWNLOAD button for the ZIP archive file (RGP30WUpdater_1200.zip) and save the archive on any folder you like.
Use an uncompressing tool to expand the downloaded archive. Unzipped file is "RGP30WUpdater_V1_2.exe".

2. Preparation to start RGP30WUpdater
Close all applications running on the RGP30-W.
Next, close all browsers connected to the RGP30-W.
Copy "RGP30WUpdater_V1_2.exe" extracted in step 1 to the desktop of the RGP30-W.

Normally old projects are taken over even after updating.
If they are initialized and lost, transfer the saved projects to the RGP30-W using the latest applicable version of the RGP-Designer.

3. Update
Start the "RGP30WUpdater_V1_2.exe" file copied in step 2.
(Start with the administrator right.)
After this step, follow instructions displayed on the screen.
To finish, a dialog box prompting confirmation of the firmware version appears on the screen.
Reboot the RGP30-W. The version after update will be successfully displayed to complete.
